First of all, this game was produced by a brand new company why took a shot in thye dark and made a now awesome FPS on the DS.
Storyline
The game begins with your being turfed to your room in a mental hospital. A couple days/weeks later, you wake up, finding everything in ruin. Upon reading things, you find out you are acquitted of a homicide of your wife and your 8 year old daughter is the only one left alive. To get out, you start seeing random things such as the little girl(Who is your daughter) and you chase after them why trying to escape the hospital. The only part of the storyline told is what happened to the hospital and why people became zombies. Rating: 8/10
Gameplay
The gameplay is awesome, many scary things happening at once, an awesome array of puzzles(Which without the brain of an 18 year old would be impossible to figure out unless you actually tried), the monsters are quite annoying(Especially the cat-leeches and Medusa Heads) and the graphics are amazing for a 3d DS game. Rating: 9/10
Mini-games
None. Rating: N.A./10
Appeal
I'd say the appeal to this game is that it's the only DS game that is a 3d FPS and has great graphics + control. The many weapons you can get are great, especially the Buzzsaw, and needing to use the flashlight(Infinite battery >:3) to see anything, plus the sounds scare the bejesus out of you if you don't know what's coming up. The panting, the screaming, they're all scary factors, especially in a dark and zombie-infested mental hospital. Rating: 9/10
Controls
D-Pad = Move Touch Screen = Look Around L = Shoot/Attack/Turn Flashlight on R = Switch between last used weapon and Flashlight
Much like Metroid Prime: Hunters control, the game has great controlling and the R-button will make your life a lot easier when you need to switch to a gun or something from your flashlight without looking at your screen. There is a bit of a problem trying to kill the cat-leeches with your nightstick though, when you attack with it, it always hits the top-left part of the nightstick, it never hits where you are looking which will be the death of you. Rating: 7/10
Overall
This game is a great horror game and will keep you scared out of your wits while playing it with headphones on, especially in the dark. The puzzles are pretty difficult to figure out and the overall aspect was great. The only thing that was a problem was that the game leaves quite a few things un-answered.
All in all, the game is great and worth the 40$. So, if you are a returning horror fan or just new to it, I recommend you get Dementium, it's awesome.
