Hi guys,

There probably is a simple fix for this that I am overlooking, but...

I have a pair of DS lites (2 boys - ok yeah I am their geeky father :)
However, I only have a single TTDS card w/8gb SDmicro.
These guys are both under 10 so more than one just isn't an issue... yet.

Anyway.... everything works well, no problems..
All backup ROMS, Moonshell, even connecting to the net via DSorganise works perfectly.

I just got Lego Battles (great little game) and wish to backup this rom as well.
Wireless play requires 2 copies... so a backup of my existing, well... you get the idea.
I am running smallftpd on my PC and NDS backup tool on the DS.
PC is connected via ethernet but the router has wireless functionality as well.

I have watched several "tutorials" on youTube and it all appears very straightforward.

Now, if I *just* have the NDS backup file on the TTDS (as various tutorials suggest), the card wont boot and indicates it is looking for a menu. This was expected but I gave it a try anyway.

If I have just the TTDS menu and NDS backup files, then I can select NDS backup via the menu and it starts,

Using DS#1
it just sits there saying "attempting to connect" or...

Using DS#2
"Can't connect with the access point of WiFi. Please confirm WiFi setting. Press (A) to confirm.
On Pressing (A), the DS switches off.

I have triple checked all .ini files and the settings are correct (local IP, setup user in smallftpd etc...)

I guess the wi-fi needs to be initiallised before it can be used, but I do not see how to to this via the TTDS menu or othrwise.

I must add that I can connect to the internet via DS organise using either DS#1 or DS#2.
So I know my WiFi setup works on both.

Anyone else ever used smalftpd, NDS backup AND a TTDS card?

Thanks in advance,
Baldric

p.s. (oh I can't wait for the boys to be a *little* bit older, as Father and sons, we shall rule the CS servers :)

Why don't you simply download the ROM?

I found that with NDS backup tool in order to connect to my access point I had to do the following.

Change Security to WEP as it was originally trying to use WPA (which was just not going to work).

Change my Wi-Fi channel to '6' , it was originally on '11' and it would not connect.

You also may want to create a WiFi connection from the Internet Settings menu before using the tool.

Give this a try and let me know.
