There's Ketsui Death Lable Japanese game of a fantastic STG game
or there's many on Retro Game Challange, or Game Center CX Arino no Chousenjou 2
both have some compilation of STG game that really can killing your time and it's not shovelware too

You could try Nanostray and Nanostray 2;They're both awesome. (click the names for some gameplay vids)

You know, there are really some good Nintendo DSiWare games. Arika made this game, and Nintendo published it.

And Arika is a really strange cult among puzzle game freaks:

ARIKA not only do TGM all the time.
I like it's other games, like Dungeon of DRUAGA (ps2), DoDonPachiDaiOujo

but of course TGM is crazy as shit... they should create it for 3DS...
