It will have a matte finish and will cost a mere €99! The downside? There's no WiFi. Which means you'll have to access the PlayStationStore via Sony's Windows-only Media Go software. Also, no online connectivity for those games that have it.

It'll launch with a bunch of PSP Essentials titles (including Invizimals: The Lost Tribe, FIFA 12, etc.), each at the price of only €9.99.

Doesn't sound too bad to me, and the new design looks quite nice (matte, completely black, looks a bit like the Vita).

99 Euro-bucks? Never thought Sony would go in that low priced market segment. Sounds like bad news for Ninty's overpriced-and-already-reduced 3D toy, but maybe I can finally get around to playing Loco Roco and Patapon, now that the PSP price doesn't frighten me anymore.

You're still better off getting an older model PSP second hand, though. You'll most likely pay less and you'll have WiFi. Not to mention this one will probably take a while to get hacked, too.

I got my PSP3000 new for 120€ including Wipeout Pulse, and it doesn´t look like a 99 cent chinese ripoff piece of junk. I´d say wait for a sale at your local electronics outlet, this one just looks super cheap (in a bad way).

Looks like less Speaker which will be Mono, and no Mic which not really required without Skype anyway.
A good deal for those who never touches wi-fi function. And love the model, real neat.

Just as a comparison, this is the model I got:

Look at the lower button bar on the new model. Same as Start/Select on 3DS, what´s neat about those? The whole thing looks as if it´s made of the cheapest plastic Sony could find.

I like the black matte look. I hate glossy fingerprint magnets, but yeah, I guess one can't judge the thing on doctored stock photos.

@Guy: nah I know the older model got better part, and looks more expensive, but the touch resistive button look makes it looks expensive on the new model lol.
It's just my opinion though, other ppl got better taste than me anyway :p

It's not really expensive, and most PSP games are 10-15 Euros now at Amazon. Maybe I'll get one just for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker.

1 PSP = 100 Euros
8 Games = 100 Euros
-------------------
Lots of fun = 200 Euros.

Sounds fair.

Even better:
1 PSP = €100
Hacks = free
-------------------
Lots of fun = €100.
