The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series got me hooked on Mystery Dungeon styled games which have apparently been around for a while. Ironically, the series that got me hooked on the style is actually the worst Mystery Dungeon series out there. As a MD game, the lack of any real equipment options makes dredging your way through the game's dungeons a major annoyance. As a Pokemon game, well, the fact that you're limited to only using your starter/partner combo through the entire main story (and that neither can evolve until after the story is over) is both depressing and rather contradictory to the general idea of Pokemon games. On the plus side, the video seems to indicate that they finally got one thing right in allowing you to actually choose your starter rather than having to answer a bunch of arbitrary questions and then slapping you with a starter based on your answers to those questions.
