1. Will eventually arrive in a standalone application.
2. You got the browser to read BBC Mobile. Otherwise, just read a newspaper.
3. Look outside. Or, again, read a newspaper.
4. If you're connected to the internet on the 3DS, you can connect to the internet on all your other devices and use your favourite IM client on those. If you don't have any others with you, m.ebuddy.com is probably still decent.
5. This would be useful as an alarm. I used the alarm on the DS often back in the days, and it'll actually be useful on the 3DS because it's supposed to be an always-on device.

Hmm 5 things?
1) Some kind of messenger, MSN-based would do nice
2) Custom emoticons in this messenger (like in MSN, You add emoticon but the other person can see it too)
3) YouTube application would do fine, Flash per se would be pain in butt in my opinion
4) Alarm Clock with custom sound setting? Oh well I'm pulling things out...
5) More Ambient Reality stuff...MORE MORE MORE *_*

I'd like a *proper* browser with Flash and HTML5 support and Skype + MSN + other messaging apps built-in, then I'm sold. Not some silly Friend Code buisness - proper communication framework access.
