I was hoping you'd touch upon the build quality of this card.
IMO, it's not worth it. The R4i 3DS Gold has astonishingly cheap build quality. As soon as I got it in the mail, I returned it like it was the plague. Extremely cheap plastic that's ready to snap at any moment. The DSTwo is similarly cheap, but luckily it has a little screw on it.
Maybe i'm spoiled because the Cyclo DS Evolution had quality as good as a real DS game, but man these people need to try harder.
I actually think they're quite solid. Maybe you just have a weak batch or something.

I get my flashcards from RealHotStuff. They're nice. Very responsive customer service.
