I have looked everywhere and need help. I am turning to you guys as ye seem to know what ye are doing

Problem:

I have a DSi with R4i gold card. As far as i can tell its not a clone or a copy.
I haven't update it in years, unfortunately i updated it to v1.4.4 and now stuck on loading screen.

Can any one point out where to update it to latest firmware/patch/update etc.

I tried off the R4ids.com website but DSi says something like "Error turn off now"

So help please

I dont know about which card you are talking about, but this is what I found:

It's from R4iDS.cn

I hope I helped!

EDIT: Under 'Upgrade Patch Area' and select the one with DSi v1.4.4.
You can choose two versions, R4i Gold 3DS or R4i Gold Non-3DS.
If your card works with 3DS (see box or card) then choose the 3DS version,
if it only supports DSi choose the Non-3DS one.

Thanks for that. I put on the firmware and the patch note.
Still getting error message. The card i have is:

Except more a golden tint on the card.

I dragged and dropped the firmware on, then the 2 files from the patch note. (all done AFTER i deleted the all the previous files)
Booted and didnt work, i do something wrong?

The files that were working have "_SYSTEM_, moonshl2, _DS_MENU (seetings file), _DS_MENU (dat file) and _DS_MSHL.NDS"
