Okay, basically I'm trying to get Pokemon HeartGold to play without being screwed by the screen going black because of the copyright thing. I'm still very early into the game and am at Violet City. Right now I am at a point where the screen goes black whenever I enter a new area. Any area period.
I installed Microsoft Net Passport 4 and the DS-Scene Rom Tool. Now I don't really know what to do. The emulator I'm using is Desume version 0.9.8. I made some sort of AP patch file with the tool (whatever that is) and saved it inside my Roms folder. It's a 424 byte dsapf file. I'm guessing it has the codes on it the DS-Scene Rom Tool gave me inside of a window after I loaded the HeartGold rom. What am I supposed to do now? I've been trying to advance in this game for hours.
Try to patch your game with the right patch (look on filetrip.net), it's a patch specially made for the black screen AP. With this you're able to play to your game without problem (I hope).
