can any gateway or other card users explain how the eshop works with 3DS flashcards? Since you can spoof firmwares, does that mean you can still access the eshop and buy stuff?
I ask because I am thinking of buying a US or Japanese 3DS XL here in China, but there is more availability of the Japanese models, I dont want to buy one if it is restricted to the Japanese eshop though, if its not restricted altogether.
With the 2.0b1 update from Gateway you can emulate your current 3DS firmware. Booting into this emulated firmware, you can safely update to the latest firmware. From there you can access the eShop and download games. I haven't tried download legal games in the emulated firmware, but I have seen other users confirm this works.
