I'd like to introduce to you the DS-Scene.net rom tool. This windows application speaks for itself really but we think it is a really useful tool. It includes an AP Patch Database which will be regularly updated by RetroGameFan and you can even view information for valid roms that are found right here on ds-scene.net. Think of it in that respect as a "validator" that you have the correct rom listed.
All that's left to say is a big thanks to everyone involved in getting this created and maintaining the database to keep the application up to date. A special thanks goes to RetroGameFan for working alongside us. We wanted to make sure people are credited where credit is due when it comes to the actual creation of these AP Patches and this tool does this. You can find this information inside the tool which was how the initial idea of this app was born with so many people stealing others work and claiming it as their own.

I'll have Linux users know that they can perfectly use this app with Mono. The only feature of the app that will pose some problems is the app update feature, but the AP database update feature and all other features work just fine.
It should work in a similar fashion on MacOS.

also i can't minimize the app, it stays on the desktop and there's only a close button

It works well for numbered roms and i like that it has a link in the app to the discussion topic for each rom on ds-scene. However it doesn't get information for XXXX roms, like cracked games etc. Will this be added in the future?

XXXX roms will be added when we get time. We had no CRC information at the start of this so it has been a lot of work to update everything and we felt the numbered roms were the priority. We would like to add all rom CRC information eventually but again this will take time.
Feel free to post in any threads where you know the CRC and I am sure someone will update the database so the application starts working with the rom. Please also let us know if you find any incorrect information, we are only human after all and mistakes may well have been made along the way.
