I've posted this over at the source too, but I'll post it here for the sake of discussion. ________________________________________
I appreciate that maybe you don't have the time to spend to create your own menus, but stealing them is not the way to do it. My team and I worked for quite a while to make the menu you conveniently stole from one of our older builds.
Your menu is literally our menu with your own logo edited in on the top screen. Please have some class. We have the original PSDs for everything, including the buttons, which were animated in our game, Super Smash Bros Clash.
If you are to continue making your Smash Bros game, I must insist that you cease using, and remove all elements of our menu from it for all future releases. Make your own identity. Have fun with it.
Swifty, it seems that you are a bit angry about this. Did you contact the developer himself? That might me much easier to discuss these things than in an open forum.
Always keep in mind: There is no better proof that you're the coolest guy on earth than getting copied by some kids.
I posted that over on the source, but it hasn't been approved yet (if it ever will). I can't PM commodore until I sink an unspecified number of posts into the DS Game Maker forums, so I'll have to try posting again later.
I'll admit to a fair bit of anger, if only because I remember the countless hours we spent refining our style, and making sure we had a unique style among the DS SSB games.
I appreciate the compliment implied by the theft, but this is the third time I've had to take issue with another DS SSB game for using our stuff without permission, un-credited and I'm kind of over it.
