Sander Stolk has released that new version of AmplituDS that I have been tinkering with for some weeks now.
This build includes 3 powerups, improved playability and synch, 4 levels of difficulty per stage and most of all the ability to import you own music files. The import feature is of course for FAT device users only and I can say after may hours of testing, it works well although could be a little confusing for some.
This build actually includes 2 tracks made by me which I am proud of Checkout the mellow modes if you want to see those but remember I take no credit for the game, I just done what anyone can now do and created tracks.
I hope you enjoy this release as much as I have so far and am pleased to finally be allowed to post it for everyone to play, so thanks Sander once again and I look forward to playing and hearing everyones creations.

A month later, an actual news update. And an important one too. The second public release of AmplituDS is now official. This release has a lot of improvements over the previous version: 4 difficulties are selectable, support for FAT devices, powerups (including freestyle)!
Note that for FAT devices you'll need to download the appropriate .nds file, but also the stages to play the game. See the online readme for further details on how to set everything up. Quick and dirty link to the online readme
Know that I will probably not update AmplituDS for quite some time now. In order to improve the game I'll have to rewrite major parts of it. Me being currently extremely busy with university and other projects, and me just needing to take a break from coding for AmplituDS, makes that not a high priority in my life. If anyone encounters bugs which I did not know of, I will probably fix those though.
Enough ranting. Get the download already. It's sweet!
You can check out some videos I created of AmplituDS here.
Please read the Online README for instructions on how to set up and customise the game.
