does this play neo geo pocket games?
I still have a functioning neo geo pocket. It is a solid handheld that was way ahead of its time. I still like playing snk vs capcom, the golf game and a few others. I wish other handhelds would copy the small thumb joystick that the ngp has, it is hands down the best controller on a handheld. Its hard to believe that the ngp didn't sell better, considering its quality. At the time of its release, it received unanamous rave reviews and design awards. I guess snk never could really market to western audiences, even when they had a sure thing.
Anyways, to get back to your question, the answer is no, NeoDS does not play ngp games. It does do an excellent job of playing neo geo games however. In most cases, ngp games were just shrunk down versions of ng games. I would highly recommend trying this outstanding homebrew emu. I bought a 2gb sd card for my r4 for more storage space. Ever since NeoDS came out, I have found a use for my old 1gb card, filling it with NeoDS and neogeo roms. Metal Slug and Kof games portable on my ds, I would have never dreamed it possible.
