While visiting sander stolk's AmplituDS page earlier i noticed he had a news post up about the RTS project which was shown in a preview video here last year. LDAsh (designer of the 3D space ship model in AmplitudDS) has put a section up on 'Violation Entertainment' with details on the upcoming game, now titled Ulterior Warzone. Theres a large desktop image at the bottom of the post with some scaled down screenshots on it. It certainly looks like the type of homebrew that could pass as a commercial game, but as i know little about the project since it was announced last year, and rather than me quoting a wall of text, i'll ask you all to check  Violation Entertainment for more details.

Yeah it's using Dark Knight Ez's RTS4DS engine, i believe they were using sprite rips from an old dos game when he made that video last year. Since then LDAsh has been working on original graphics for it. It's a shame theres no full size screen shots yet though.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. :)
We have some "fullscreen" screenshots hidden away in the team forum, along with a heap of stuff that will show up in the project's cinematics that isn't hidden away, so there's still plenty more to see laying around.

No, it's not dead at all, it's very playable.  Progress is slow because we need help to finish.

I was also wondering what was happening with this game.
I don't see sander on irc these days so i've never got around to asking about it.

There were rumours about trying to go commercial at the time.
Is that still the plan or can we expect it to be released as homebrew.
