DSi firmware v1.4 drops in Japan and Europe Facebook connectivity ,Faster camera display, Flashcards blacklisted
Nintendo DSi owners in Japan and Europe have already started digitally receiving their copies of the newest firmware, v1.4. The update brings little more than Facebook photo uploading and also lists "faster image display speed in the DSi camera." Alongside these additions, the following Flashcards have been blocked:
While these flashcards are blocked for now, some of them may be able to bypass the block. From what i understand, cards such as M3i Zero, Supercard DSONEi and EZVi should be able to update the core internal loader, so fixes may come along soon. For now anyone who wants to continue using these flashcards should stay away from updating until more information is available.
I doubt games would have the update built in but I wouldn't put it past Nintendo in future installments.
Also, Acekard2i has a bootloader that can be updated by running a NDS file on the card. It seems that Team Acekard is working on a way to fix whatever it is that is blocking the Acekard. I wonder if it is a type of boot check with the new firmware since some cards are visible but produces an error on boot.
It is best for Acekard2i users to not update their DSi's firmware at this moment. The reason being so that they can access their card on the DSi to update the bootloader to circumvent the current firmware release.

I hope this is so, phoenixclaws. I just bought my sister a DSi and an Acekard2i for her birthday and I think she would want the facebook uploading update. The DSi will prompt you if you want the update, right? Just makin' sure.
